We have worked with Joe on a total of three separate landscaping jobs to date: 1) our front wrap around driveway needed to be levelled (it was overly sloped), 2) we had a back driveway added to store our camper trailer, and most recently 3) we had our entire back yard levelled into two separate tears (from very sloped to usable land).
In each case, Joe has proven to be on time, experienced and efficient, conscientious about the quality of his work, and cost effective. He places each boulder as if it were an art form. He knows his regulations as well so starts and finishes the job right. Costs generally are fairly close to the proposed estimate with any overages raised beforehand so no surprises.
Couldn’t ask for a better all-round service provider.
We would certainly recommend Joe and will use him for work in future.

A quick note, not only thank you for the impressive work you did around our place, but also to compliment you on the attitude with which you approach both your work and your customers. We have experienced many disappointments over the years dealing with contractors performing various types of work both inside and outside the house. I think living in a rural area there is less competition, limited options, and more often than not we have been demoralized by either the quality of work, attitude, or integrity demonstrated by the contractor. Our positive experience with you far exceeded the norm in all aspects.
You are one of those rare individuals who really and truly enjoys his work, and this translated very clearly into the pleasant and respectful way that you engaged us about the work, from start to finish. You were very patient and good-natured dealing with all of our questions, uncertainties and changes to the scope of work. You demonstrated strong integrity in areas where it is lacking in many contractors: each day you showed up exactly when you said you would, you not only honoured your original quote but were honest enough to provide a rebate for supplies you didn't require after all, and most impressively you made several suggestions on things to cancel or change which saved us money at the expense of your own profit. I was also amazed at how fast and efficiently you get things done!
The best way I can describe your approach is I think once you begin a job, you think of the property as your own property, and treat the entire work as if you were doing it in your own backyard, for yourself. You applied great vision and expertise in knowing what to do, how to do it, and what to avoid to improve our property. You treated both of us, and our home, with great respect.
Joe you are a refreshing change, we feel very lucky to have found you, and you have earned a life-long customer.
